i ran opengl diagnostics and it told me that my system had the right things to run the software. I tried updating my GPU drivers again and got the same message. The monitor must be running in True Color (32-bit) When I first tried Hitfilm Ultimate the program worked ok but after having a BAD virus come up on my system i ended up formatting my system to get rid of the problem loaded vista 64bit again and loaded all the same drivers but to my Horror I ended up with the following error message I have a Toshiba laptop with an Intel core 2Duo CPU T9300 processor that runs at 2.5Ghz with 4Gb of memory and it has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 512Mb Graphics Chip, running windows vista 64Bit Home Premium operating system Hi to everyone on the hit film community i just thought that i would share some info that i have found out over the past week. There is a Video here which although short, does detail how to get Optimus working correctly as it does have problems with some software. The reason why you see the error you mention in this post is because your machine is using the Intel HD chip when launching the software & not the 540M. This is designed to save battery life by only using the 540M when required, for example when using a 3D intensive game, any other time it will just use the Intel HD Chip & therefore saves battery life. Because of this your machine will also have a Utility called Optimus, this is installed by default with the Nvidia driver. Your machine most likely has 2 graphics cards, one Intel HD Chip & of course your Nvidia 540M. Is there something else at play possibly? I also updated the graphics card, that didn't help. I checked the system requirements and it said what I've got is compatible. The monitor must be running in True Color (32-bit).
